Gracias a dios, ninguna.
Yes once again Antoine had a little fall out with his bicycle, and once again the bike won! Nothing broken, but he does have some whiplash, stretched ligaments
along the spine and a grade 2 shoulder injury....given that a grade 3 is a dislocated shoulder....you can imagine the pain he is in. Still nothing that a bit of time and TLC wont cure. ahhhh
boys and their toys!

The day has come to say goodbye to Latin America and what a sad day it is. Yes we are really excited
about the next stage of our journey but we are also feeling nostalgic about the many months that we have spent travelling around Mexico, Central and South
America. No it hasn’t always been easy, like when we got robbed in Costa Rica, when we got stalked by a taxi driver in
Peru or when our bus kept getting stuck in Bolivia, but it has always been fun!! Adventure is never far away in Latin
America and it has been a great host to us since we began our trip on 7th October. We can´t believe that we
spent just under 6 months there, a month more than we even planned to. Although when you consider everything that we have done in the past 6 months it is no surprise that the time flew by so
quickly….we experienced tropical heat to freezing high altitude cold, we snorkelled in the warm Caribbean sea and shivered on the summit of a 6088m snowy mountain, we swam with sharks and almost
burnt our feet on flowing hot lava from a recent volcanic eruption, we climbed glaciers and volcano boarded down steep slopes, we visited ancient ruins and quad biked in Patagonia, we bathed in
natural thermal pools and marvelled at the Panama Canal, we hiked in some of the most famous parks in the world and stayed in some of the most remote parts of Bolivia, we visited the most
southern city in the world and also the worlds highest city, we got up close to wild Bolivian llamas and saw wild dolphins only feet away, we went white water rafting on grade 4 rapids and horse
riding in the driest desert in the world, we saw pink lakes and white salt planes, we hiked in the jungle and in the lost Inca world, we ate fresh coconuts and mangos on the Caribbean coast and
grasshoppers in central Mexico, we wandered among snakes and got right up beside some penguins, we were just miles away from the Antarctic and we stood at the centre of the world…..and that’s not
even the half of it!!!! We have also met some great people over the past months, who of course made all of the above even more fun.
So its goodbye to Latin America, and New Zealand here
we come…..lets see if the Kiwis can show us as good a time as the Latinos did………………….

Todavia no sabemos

Yes after a month without updating the blog, we are back!!!! We had an incredible month exploring the most southern parts of Argentina and Chile and also catching up with some familiar faces. First
of all we spent almost a week with Antoine´s friend Dany, camping and hiking around the famous patagonian park, Torres del Paine. Although we had a few blisters by the end of it, the craic was good
and the scenary amazing. Then straight after we said our goodbyes to Dany we got a bus to the most southern city in the world (Ushuaia) to meet Antoines parents. Excitment was high and a great two
weeks were had by all. Seeing them again after 5 months was brilliant and the fact that we were all reunited in the most southern city in the world gave it all a magical touch. However there were
more than a few tears when the time came to go our separate ways and here we are once again with our backpacks on. We have been almost 6 months on the road already so the time to change
continent is drawing near, 30th March we have a flight from Santiago Chile to New Zealand. However we still have to live the high-life in Buenos Aires and visit the Iguazu falls before we say
adios to south america...so watch this space.
Miss you all.

Hola a todos/as,

Am I dreaming or is the bed moving?????
Laying in bed in Curíco (middle Chile) this morning at 6.40am I opened my
eyes and swore Id never drink again, then however I quickly realised that I hadnt touched a drop of alcohol and in fact it wasnt my head that was spinning it was the bed!!!! So as panic
set in I did what I usually do in a crisis, shout at Antoine!!! :-) ...... "whats going on?". Given the fact that the whole buidling felt like it was
moving it didnt take us long to realise that it was an earthquake. Thankfully, just as our panic was starting to rise and we were wondering if we should get out of the hostel it came
to a stop and peace was restored. Quite funny looking back now, however to wake me up, give me a good old fashioned alarm clock anyday!
We are now in Los Angeles and making our way gradually to the southern end of Chile. It is the middle of the summer here and roasting warm so all is good
:-). A big hug to everyone and thanks to all of you who have put comments on the blog, we love hearing from you and knowing that your following us.
