Le gusta:
- *Las sorpresas (que le lleven por sorpresa a tirarse en caída libre desde un avión a 4000m…o simplemente un regalito escondido debajo de la almohada…).
- *La sinceridad en las relaciones con los demás.
- *Los cotilleos, es una marujilla!
- *Dormir con la colcha hasta por encima de la cabeza, vaya marmota…
- *El Gin, Beefeater, como no!
- *La sensación de bienestar después del deporte, aunque nunca lo admitirá ;-)
No le gusta:
- *Que le digan que habla muy bien Ingles para ser Irlandesa…
- *Tener que decir NO.
- *Estar lejos de su familia y amigos de Irlanda
- *El revuelto de sesos que le hice probar un día…
- *Que le tiré agua fría mientras se esta duchando jeje..

She likes:
- *Surprises (free fall jump from a plane at 13.000 ft or just a little nothing hidden under the pillow…).
- *Sincerity in her relationships.
- *Gossip!!!
- *Sleeping with the duvet up over her head, covered like a ground hog…
- *Gin, Beefeater, of course!
- *The good feeling you experience after sport, even if she’ll never admit it… ;-)
She hates:
- *When people tell her she speaks really good English for an Irish person…
- *Having to say NO.
- *Being far away from her family and friends in Ireland.
- *The brain omelette I made her try once …
- *The cold water I throw at her when she’s having a shower..
I’m sure I’ll discover new things about Annemarie’s hidden facet so I’ll update the list during the trip…

Hi all,
For those of you who dont know Antoine very well, here are some insights into his likes and dislikes. There are of course many more but Ive cut down the list to avoid boring you silly, and of course not all are for public viewing!
Antoine Likes:
For those of you who dont know Antoine very well, here are some insights into his likes and dislikes. There are of course many more but Ive cut down the list to avoid boring you silly, and of course not all are for public viewing!
Antoine Likes:
o Long lazy breakfasts at the weekend,
consisting of jumbo cafes with sugar and peanut butter + jam on toast. (then he insists he doesnt have a sweet tooth ?!)
o The idea of becoming a buddist and living in the mountains
of Tibet!
o Bicycles and ANYTHING to do with bicycles! (they all look
the same to me?!)
o Stripping off and taking a dip in any water he finds (be it
minus degrees in the mountains or among Buffalo poo in China..lots of photos to prove this!)
o Hiding anywhere possible to jump out and
scare people.
o Making little films in his head about how to make money!
Some of them have worked :-)
Antoine Dislikes:
o Cuore! (very intellectual magazine about famous
people!)
o Wet towels left on the bed (oops!!)
o Doing nothing (he is definition of a culo
inquieto!)
o People touching his lips or ears. Hence its what i do when
i want to annoy him :-)
o TV sports – thank goodness for my sake!
o His girlfriend getting drunk and calling him at 3am (as if
?!)
o Films on cross atlantic iberia flights (has anyone seen The
Bollywood Bride?)
Antoine is without a doubt one of the most caring and thoughtful people i know.
What people who dont know him well might think but that is not true - that he is very serious, when in fact I dont know anyone who likes to act the eejit more than
him!

El día que compramos los billetes de avión...un paso importante en la organización de nuestro viaje. El primer salto hacie un "Ya no hay vuelta atrás..."
The day we booked our tickets..........the day we made it definite that we were going to give up our jobs, leave our home, family, and friends, to head off into the world, with nothing except our backpacks and each other. After this there was no going back!!!

En este artículo queria comentar las diferentes guías de viaje que estamos consultando y que vamos a utilizar durante esta aventura.
El año pasado cuando nos fuimos a China nos llevamos el Lonely Planet China y la verdad es que nos gusto bastante como esta redactado y organizado.
Existen guias para ciudades, para paises y para continentes. Para estas tres marcas viene el nombre impreso en letra grande sobre la ciudad o pais que cubren. En caso de las guias por continentes, en caso de Lonely tiene la serie "On a shoe string". Encontraremos por ejemplo "South America on a Shoe string"...
Obviamente, existen otras guias como el "Guide du routard" o algunas españolas, pero mi opinion personal es que estas no son tan completas, al menos cuando cubren un pais entero.
Como novedad, venden en su página wed los podcast de algunos destinos...

The idea of this article is to mention the different travel guides that are on the market and which ones we are going to use to add some structure to our adventure.
Last year we went to China and planned our trip using the Lonely Planet. We found it really interesting as well as very well edited and laid out.
Apart from the Lonely Planet we have been looking at Footprint and Rough Guides to wet our appetite for our trip. Like the Lonely, both these other two are also very complete and trustworthy. Its possible to find guides for just one city, for one country or for one continent. In the case of guides for a whole continent the Lonely Planet has a series out called "On a shoestring" which summaries the main things about each country within a continent. We bought South America On a Shoestring and its great. It is also much more practical than going to South America with a guide book for each individual country!! Ive a feeling my backpack will be heavy enough without a ton of guide books in it!
Obviously other brands of guide books also exist, for example "Guide du Routard" and some Spanish brands, but in our opinion they are not as complete as the three previously mentioned.

Indispensable!
This is probably one of the most important things that we will be taking with us. As we found out in China last year, no traveller should leave home without a complete medi kit. Yes im talking everything from bandages and insect repellents to antisceptic creams and hidrating drinks. Not forgetting two very important types of tablets, the ones to make you go to the toilet and the ones to stop you going to the toilet!! Ive already been warned that a very typical conversation between travellers is about their bowel movements! Def one part of the trip that Im not looking forward to! Once we get our kit finished we will put up a list of everything that it includes.

Nosotros hemos optado por la compañia francesa "Connaisseur du Voyage" que ofrece unas 25 combinaciones diferentes.

La modalidad que hemos elegido es la 18 que es la que mejor se adaptaba a los paises que queriamos visitar.
It isnt easy knowing where to start to look for tickets to do a world trip, however there are various companies which offer such packages. The company we decided on is a french company "Connaisseur du Voyage". They have around 25 different flight combination options, which is more than enough to choose from! We selected the option number 18. If you want to have a look and give yourself itchy feet their website is quoted above. We also looked into flights with an Irish company but went for the French one in the end as the Irish one charge 100 euro more for any flight changes. Antoine was pushing for the French, while I was on the side of the Irish but in the end the French won :-(

Es díficil saber de antemano cuanto tiempo vamos a estar en cada pais por lo que más aun el tiempo en el que estaremos en cada continente...
El itinerario a grandes rasgos es el siguiente:
